Hello, and welcome to my portfolio.
My name is Waqas Saleem, and I am a student at the University of North Florida studying Learning Design and Technology. My background includes information technology, systems analysis, research, and nonprofit work, which has given me experience solving problems, supporting teams, and improving processes.
Throughout my coursework, I have developed skills in instructional design, needs analysis, storyboard development, eLearning design, accessibility, multimedia learning, and learner-centered design. I enjoy creating learning experiences that make complex information easier to understand and more accessible for diverse learners.
My capstone project focuses on improving the onboarding experience for families of individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Working with my field mentor has strengthened my understanding of how research, user feedback, and continuous improvement contribute to effective instructional design.
This portfolio showcases my academic work, design process, professional artifacts, and personal growth as an instructional designer. I look forward to continuing to develop engaging, accessible, and meaningful learning experiences that make a positive impact.
